Return what you harvest so fertility does not walk off the field

Every crate of produce and every pile of prunings taken to the dump is a nutrient export. Fields stay fertile when enough of that carbon and mineral comes back as compost, mulch, or well-managed manure — not when every gap is guessed with a new sack.

Match returns to the test so you do not pile phosphorus while starving organic matter, or the reverse.

If yields slide while bags increase, ask what left the gate and never returned.
