Chicken clocks: pullet grow-out vs broiler harvest
Use the layer clock (pullet then lay) or the broiler clock (grow, fatten, harvest). Do not mix them.
Chicken clocks
Stage flocks by purpose.
Layers: started → brooding → growing → pullet → laying. After a year some flocks molt, then lay again, then are spent.
Broilers: started → brooding → growing → fattening → harvest ready when age or sample weight hits the farm target (generic band about 42 days / 2.2 kg).
Open the flock Lifecycle tab to see the current stage. If the card still looks like a cow timeline, the purpose field on the flock is wrong.
