Work the year the colony actually lives

Colony needs change. A summer inspection rhythm in winter, or a winter “leave them” attitude in swarm season, is how beginners lose bees.

Seasonal checklist

Local bloom and dearth dates beat a calendar copied from another country. Walk your own forage and talk to nearby beekeepers before you copy a schedule.

Honey follows a strong seasonal colony. It does not lead it.
