- 03 Inspect with a purpose, then close the hive Open a hive only to answer a question: queen, brood, stores, space, or pests. Write what you saw the same day.
- 04 Give space, or the colony will take it as a swarm Add room before congestion. Swarm cells mean split or give space now. Combine weak colonies before they are robbed.
- 05 Keep colonies strong; do not wait for a rescue bottle Hygiene, comb renewal, and a local mite calendar prevent most losses. This is not a product or dosing guide.
- 06 Harvest surplus honey; count pollination as yield too Take only capped surplus after winter or dearth stores are safe. Bloom placement can be worth as much as the extractor.
